FAQs:Do you have a caller?
Yes we have a caller who explains how to do all the dances.
Are barndances suitable for beginners?
Yes - we specialise in beginners barndances, the emphasis at our dances is on fun (not fancy dance steps!)
How does a typical barndance run?
Typically the dance starts at about 8.30pm, after a period of dancing (half to three quarters of an hour) there is a break for a meal (and sometimes a raffle). Once the meal is over there is more dancing until the end of the dance (at say 11.30pm). This is intended to give an idea of the structure of a typical barndance (but of course we can work to your particular requirements!).
How much does it cost to hire the band?
Our prices start at £300 (for our local Northwich area). The price depends on the location and convenience (we generally prefer Saturday nights). We normally require a £50 deposit to make a firm booking.
What is the lineup?
Our normal lineup is caller, fiddle/mandolin, guitar and bass guitar we sometimes also have a drummer (at no extra cost!).
